Welding

Power Piping’s Welding Program is administered by a qualified welding engineer and meets the requirements of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC), the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the American Welding Society (AWS).

  • Power Piping has more than 150 qualified welding procedures that cover the gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), submerged arc welding (SAW) and flux core arc (FCAW) welding processes.
  • Power Piping has extensive experience in welding carbon steel, low alloy steel including P-91, stainless steels, alloy 20, and nickel alloys, with thicknesses over 6” thick, and up to 96” in diameter.
